If your band is interested in being considered for the Summergrass 2009 lineup here is what you need to do, after September 1, 2008:

 Send us:

*  One of your CDs, or a demo CD of your music;
*   A band biography identifying the band members and listing some of the key gigs your band has played;
*  A current band photo
*  Your web page address, if you have one
*  Your price range
*  Whether or not you are qualified to teach and interested in teaching in our Special Kids Music Workshops
*  Contact info for your band leader

Note: if you are an established internationally or nationally touring band we'd be happy to work with you and would appreciate your standard promo materials. Newer or less experienced bands need to be sure to provide all the above information - and we'd love to hear from you.

Send the info to:

SUMMERGRASS 2009 is scheduled August 21-23, 2008 at the Antique Gas and Steam Engine Museum in Vista California.
The process for band selection for 2008's lineup is as follows:

*  The entertainment committee presents all of the bands to the Summergrass Board of Directors [about 15 people].  CDs are listened to, cost and scheduling issues are discussed along with other factors.  Usually, we look for one or two headliners of national stature, 2-3 regional bands and 3-4 local bands.
*   Final band selections are made by the Summergass Board.  Board members who play in bands under consdieration abstain from voting and participating.
*  Contracts are then proposed to Bands selected, and we shoot to have all contracts finalized by the end of 2008 or early 2009.
