There is plenty of onsite dry camping at Summergrass!
Camping can ONLY be purchased in conjunction with a 3-day festival admission ticket.

If you need to purchase camping and don't need admission tickets because you already have your admission, please contact Summergrass camping chair Jerry Hass by email at camping@summergrass.net  and he will assist you.

On-site dry camping sites are $90 ($42 for camping + $48 for one 3-day festival ticket), and can be used for any portion of the period between Wednesday, August 20 at 4:00 p.m. through Monday, August 25 at noon.
  • Nice showers are available at specified times for $3 each - signup onsite.
  • You may use your generators except during quiet hours from 10 pm to 7 am.  These quiet hours apply to generators but not to music jamming.
  • A limited non-generator camping area will be available.
  • We hope you will camp with us--we know you will enjoy it!

Most Frequently Asked Question
:
When does the campground open and what are the charges associated with arriving prior to Friday.

Answer:  Camping is a flat fee for the entire time you can camp 4 PM Wednesday - Noon Monday at the festival, but you must buy the camping as a package of one 3-day admission and one campsite for $90.
  •  If more than one person will be camping in the site you must also buy an additional festival admission ticket for each day each extra person is in the campground.
  • You may have one “family unit” on each site which could be, for example an RV + a tent (for the kids, etc), but not two RV’s.

The earliest you can arrive is Aug 20, Wednesday, 4:00 pm  Not a minute earlier!  (Please note. Any camping units you see already there when you arrive are official vehicles there for festival operation, not festival ticketholders).

  •  If you come earlier you will be turned away as there is no place to wait before the gate opens; the adjacent school uses these facilities until 4:00 PM.
  •  There is a shopping center which is large enough to accommodate a RV parking if you go south less than a mile on North Santa Fe Avenue to Bobier,  Early arrivals may choose to “go shopping” for some groceries at the supermarket there while waiting.
  • In addition it is posted and the police do issue traffic tickets for stopping on North Santa Fe at Museum Way, the entrance to the festival.
  • You can find that information on the back of the flyer that you download by clicking the link above this text.
  •
  • What are the daily arrival times?
  •
  • Thursday August 21 & Friday August 22  8:00am- 8:00pm- it is recomended you not arrive between 2:00pm and 4:00pm as there is a traffic jam from the school on Museum Way.
  • Saturday August 23  8:00am - 8:00pm
  • Sunday August 24  8:00am - 5:00pm
  • If you arrive after closing time you will be expected to wait at the gate area until it opens the next morning. We believe that parking RV's after dark invites accidents and damage to property

YUM! A great HOT BREAKFAST is available on site at a miminal cost, prepared by the Antique Gas and Steam Engine Museum in the "Bake Shop". 7 am - 10 am Sat & Sun. WHAT OTHER FOOD IS AVAILABLE AT SUMMERGRASS? CLICK HERE FOR A LIST OF FOOD AND LOCATIONS.
